PRESS FITTINGS FOR IPS STAINLESS STEEL

Viega's new MegaPress stainless press fittings are designed for iron pipe-size stainless steel and make secure connections in less than seven seconds, which helps keep a project on time or ahead of schedule, the company noted. Viega added the fittings can reduce installation time by up to 60% compared to welding or threading. The fittings are equipped with the patented Viega Smart Connect feature, which allows installers to easily identify unpressed connections during pressure testing. The fittings are available in 304 and 316 stainless steel. The new offering also is approved for use with Schedule 10 and Schedule 40 pipe.

BUTTERFLY VALVES

NIBCO's grooved UL/FM butterfly valves are lightweight and install ready. Their compact size makes installation easier in confined spaces with a durable fused corrosion-resistant nylon coating, NIBCO notes. The valves feature a pressure rating of up to 350 psi, a re-engineered gear operator and a redesigned body for enhanced performance. The double- lipped EPDM encapsulated disc assures a bubble-tight seal and lower torque gear operator requires less force to operate. Available in sizes ranging from 2 1/2" to 10."

FORGED BRASS BALL VALVES

Matco-Norca's lead-free ball valve product family now includes 750LF full-port forged brass ball valves in both IPS (iron pipe size) and CXC (copper x copper for copper pipe) versions. 750LF IPC-CXC ball valves are made of lead-free brass and conform to ANSI B1.20.1 (thread ends) and MSS-SP-110 specifications. They are comprised of a two-piece body and come with a blowout-proof stem. IPS ball vales are available in diameter sizes ranging from 1/2" up to 2". CXC valves come in three diameter sizes: 1/2", 3/4" and 1". Both IPS and CXC valves are rated at 600 psi non-shock CWP (cold water pressure) and 150 PSI SWP (steam working pressure).

NO-LEAD FORGED-BRASS PRESS UNIONS

In sizes from ½" to 2", Legend has a new selection of press unions. The configurations offered include Press x Press, Press x MNPT and Press x FNPT. The unions allow for the piping system to be disassembled for service. This allows for transitioning from copper tubing to hard piping or equipment. Legend also has added ½" and ¾" Press Drop Ear elbows which are ideal for stabilizing and connecting an end point device or hard piping. These unions and fittings are manufactured using no-lead and DZR forged brass.
