Atlas Introduces XenoCal^® Device to Calibrate Ci Series Weather-Ometers

The XenoCal^® is an independent sensor that can be used to measure and calibrate irradiance directly at the sample plane of the rotating exposure rack. Evaluation and graphical display of the output is easily achieved using the accompanying XenoSoft^® analytical software. Multiple wavelength sensitivities are available, including narrow-band (340nm and 420nm) or wideband (300-400nm). The calibration process is automated through the Weather-Ometer’s user interface.

Rheometers

Anton Paar rheometers have the ability to test paints and coatings to give insight into the flow properties of paints from a low shear rate and simulating sagging, to a high sheer rate and simulating high-speed coating, and everything in between. These rheometers can also determine storage stability using oscillatory tests which can be done without damaging the structure of the paint. Using an Anton Paar rheometer, thixotropic tests are used to determine the amount of recovery as well as the rate of recovery of paint after brushing, rolling or spraying.

Synperonic™ PE/F87 enhances the properties of PVDC emulsions. PVDC is a well-established polymer for many applications. It is an inherently low-pH system, which tends to have poor thermal and pH stability. Post-adding Synperonic™ PE/F87 can mitigate such drawbacks.
