The LPD Mag Provides a Silent Sigh of Relief

A residential building in downtown Chicago was having repeated failures of their pumps with ECM motors. These ECM motors were attracting iron oxides and other magnetic particulates into the wet rotor of the pump. The buildup on the rotor either wore through the housing, resulting in a leak, or the pump seized up. The LPD Mag, a high efficiency, low pressure drop Y-Strainer with a Neodymium Magnet, was introduced to attract and remove the harmful particles that were making their way into the ECM motors, threatening the life of the system. Read how this proved to be the perfect solution.
