Welcome to Volume 3 of The ASSEMBLY Show Exhibitor Bulletins. The purpose of this bulletin is to keep you up-to-date on information regarding The ASSEMBLY Show 2017, October, 24-26, at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.
IMPORTANT EXHIBITOR INFORMATION & LOGISTICS
Height Restrictions & Hanging Banners
Hanging signs and banners are only permitted for Island or Peninsula Booths.
The lowest ceiling height in Hall A is 18’6”, however some areas have higher clearance. The maximum height limitation on banners for The ASSEMBLY Show is 16'. Most banners/signs are hung 11' from the ground to the bottom of the banner. Further information on hanging signs can be found on page 64 of the Exhibitor Services Manual.

For additional information regarding height restrictions for specific booths please contact Dave Houston at dhouston@rosemontexpo.com or 847-993-4654.
Transporting Your Booth Freight
Whether you ship your booth freight in advance to the RES warehouse, or directly to convention center, following are some helpful things to keep in mind.
All Vehicles Must First Check-in at the RES Marshaling Yard
Whether you will be shipping your booth freight via a company owned truck, a 3rd party ground/air shipping company, or in a personally-owned vehicle, for the move-in of the show, all direct shipments to the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center must first check-in at the RES Marshaling Yard. The same procedure applies for move-out, i.e., all vehicles must first check-in at the marshaling yard before coming to the convention center to pick-up freight.
Hiring a Ground/Air Shipper
If your company has a preferred shipper that you use to send your products to customers, that would be the most logical shipper to contact about arranging shipping of your booth freight to from The ASSEMBLY Show. However, many exhibitors will hire a 3rd party shipping company to transport their booth materials to and from the show.

Make sure whatever shipper you select is licensed, boned, and insured. The shipper should be able to provide you with a tracking and or “pro” number, so you can track your shipment. The shipper should also provide you with a certified weight document/certificate indicating the number of pieces and weight of the shipment.

We recommend that you contact the following official show carriers to receive a quote.

• Air—Airways Freight 1-800-643-3525 www.airwaysfreight.com

Public Relations
We are generating a lot of excitement and media interest for THE ASSEMBLY SHOW and are interested in finding out about new products and special events you, our exhibitors, have planned, so we can help you promote your company and new product(s). Here are a few public relations tools we recommend you use prior to the event:
Industry News Feed — Exhibitors can post press releases at no cost to the Industry News Feed on The ASSEMBLY Show web site. Visit our news submissions page, and upload content from your press release as well as your company logo and product photos.
Access to Registered Press List — Many of the industry trade publications and general business press will register to attend The ASSEMBLY Show and we encourage you to send press invites to them to stop by your booth. Email Amy Reimer at amy@theassemblyshow.com for a complete list of press who have registered and those that have been invited.
On-site Press Office — We will have a working Press Room at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont during The ASSEMBLY Show and encourage exhibitors to display up to 25 information kits, which can be dropped off on-site. Access is restricted to accredited members of the working press.
Press Conferences/Events — Are you planning a special event or press conference for the media? Let us know about your plans and we will include it on our schedule of events for the media.
