Legal/Regulatory Update: The Challenge for Mature Jurisdictions
Operators in mature jurisdictions are regularly faced with new competition, both within existing markets and from neighboring states. One form of relief they often seek is on the regulatory side, either to lobby for higher investment thresholds for new projects, or no new projects at all, more generous taxation levels and rules, and other forms of productive support. In this session, we’ll hear how top regulators in the southern region and beyond are responding to the challenge of keeping mature regulatory regimes current and fostering outcomes that are beneficial for all industry stakeholders.
